Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This policy applies to information processing that occurs when you visit v2rayos.com and its Simplified Chinese pages. The site provides download links for V2Ray clients, installation instructions, configuration tutorials, terminology explanations, and troubleshooting resources. By accessing or continuing to use the site, you confirm that you have read and understood the scope of data processing described below. If a specific feature is explained differently on another page, the clear notice displayed near that feature takes precedence.

1. Scope of Data Collection

This is a static content site. It does not offer account registration, comments, online submissions, or email subscriptions, and it does not require your name, email address, phone number, subscription URL, node configuration, or payment details. Configuration examples in the tutorials are used on your own device and client; the site does not receive or store those configurations.

To deliver pages and diagnose technical issues, the server may generate basic access logs. These logs typically include the access time, requested path, response status, browser type, operating system category, referring page, and network address, along with other technical information. These records help identify abnormal requests, troubleshoot page errors, assess service capacity, and keep the site available. They are not used to build personal identity profiles.

2. Traffic Analytics and Its Uses

The site may use traffic analytics to understand page views, commonly used device categories, entry pages, navigation between pages, and content-reading trends. The results help determine whether download instructions are clear, which tutorials need additional detail, and whether the mobile layout works properly. Analytics is primarily used for aggregated analysis and does not require your real name or contact details.

Traffic analytics may process shortened or technically transformed network identifiers, browser information, page URLs, time spent on pages, and interaction events. For example, switching platform tabs in the download center may be recorded as an anonymized feature event to evaluate use of the Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux entry points. The actual retention period depends on the deployment configuration and is limited to a reasonable period needed to fulfill these purposes.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

Basic browsing, document reading, and page navigation do not depend on account cookies. To preserve necessary interface state, your browser may use cookies, session storage, or local storage—for example, to remember your language choice, navigation menu state, or an analytics session identifier. This data remains in your browser or is processed by same-origin services. It is not used to store client subscription content, proxy nodes, access credentials, or software configuration files.

You can delete or restrict cookies and site storage through your browser settings. After clearing them, your language choice or some interface preferences may return to their defaults, but reading the main documentation is generally unaffected. If your browser completely blocks scripts or storage, the main page content remains accessible, while auxiliary features such as language switching, tab positioning, or traffic analytics may be affected.

4. Download Files and Third-Party Links

The download center resolves current client file URLs from a same-origin version manifest. The actual installation packages are provided through the corresponding software's release and distribution system; the site does not store client installers in its page repository. After you click a download button, the request may be handled by an independent file distribution service. That service's processing of access logs, network information, and download requests is governed by its own operating rules.

Documents may contain links to other pages on this site or to necessary external resources. Once you leave the site, the target page's content, availability, and data practices are no longer governed by this policy. Read the target service's privacy notice before submitting information or continuing. The site will not ask you to submit subscription URLs, node parameters, account passwords, or other sensitive configuration through external forms.

5. Data Management and Policy Updates

The site uses access controls, log limitations, and deployment management measures appropriate for static document hosting to reduce unnecessary data processing. Because network transmission, browser environments, and external file distribution each have their own technical boundaries, you should also manage local device permissions, browser data, and client configurations carefully. Do not paste private subscription content into public pages.

This policy may change when the site's features, analytics methods, deployment structure, or applicable requirements change. Updated content will be published on this page, and the “Last updated” month at the top will be revised accordingly. Significant changes will be highlighted in a prominent notice on the page. Continuing to access the updated page means that you acknowledge the current version. If you have questions about the data processing scope of a specific feature, review the FAQ first; for installation and configuration tasks, refer to the Getting Started guide to verify the steps.
